AO Tours was fantastic. Doug was a great tour guide and host. I wasn't quite sure what all we would get out of a 90-minute tour in a van, but it was so much fun, and you learned a great deal about the history of Austin as well as the future with all the new buildings and areas being built around town. The tour covered a significant amount of area and was a great overview of the city and the sites that you might want to visit more in depth. Going through the University of Texas campus was nice and the stop at the City of Austin public library was a fun experience. It is an amazing library. The journey through the cemetery of famous Texans was another interesting site on the tour. I would recommend this tour to anyone not from Austin and book it as something to do early in your trip as there is a lot of information that will help you understand downtown better and areas to go see. They are also partnered with many local businesses and give you a QR code that can get you discounts at certain businesses and restaurants.
Absolutely brilliant tour for those who don't want to navigate Austin on their own. Doug the tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, engaging and has a passion for what he does.
